Discontinued in September 2024. Apple no longer sells this model.
Should you buy it now?
No. Apple no longer sells the AirPods (3rd generation).
The AirPods (3rd generation) came out in October 2021 at $179. Apple stopped selling it in September 2024, so it gets fewer years of software updates than a current model. If you're buying new, the AirPods 5 is the model to look at instead, from $129. Buying used can still make sense, but only at a steep discount and with the battery health checked.
