Discontinued in September 2026. Apple no longer sells this model.
Should you buy it now?
No. Apple no longer sells the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation.
The AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation came out in September 2024 at $179. Apple stopped selling it in September 2026, so it gets fewer years of software updates than a current model. If you're buying new, the AirPods 5 is the model to look at instead, from $129. Buying used can still make sense, but only at a steep discount and with the battery health checked.
