Apple TV 4K (3rd generation, Wi-Fi + Ethernet) vs Apple TV 4K: should you upgrade?

If you're buying new, get the Apple TV 4K. The Apple TV 4K (3rd generation, Wi-Fi + Ethernet) is no longer sold by Apple.

A new model was just announced and goes on sale November 13. The previous model is discontinued.

The Apple TV 4K is 4 years newer, so it will get software updates for longer and holds its value better. If your Apple TV 4K (3rd generation, Wi-Fi + Ethernet) still works well, there's no rush, but don't buy one new.
