Discontinued in May 2024. Apple no longer sells this model.
Should you buy it now?
No. Apple no longer sells the iPad (9th generation).
The iPad (9th generation) came out in September 2021 at $329. Apple stopped selling it in May 2024, so it gets fewer years of software updates than a current model. If you're buying new, the iPad is the model to look at instead, from $349. Buying used can still make sense, but only at a steep discount and with the battery health checked.
